Project Details

Set atop the bluff overlooking the San Joaquin River Valley, this elegant custom residence was designed to suit the owners every need and wish of a long awaited dream home. The home features 4 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, a library and a game room in addition to the great room, formal dining room, kitchen & breakfast nook. With meticulous attention to finishes and details, this home features extensive millwork, custom ceilings and built-in features found in only the finest homes. Most notable among the many custom features is the elongated dome ceiling of the library set above clerestory windows that bathe the room with natural light.

With all the value inherent in the design of this home, the layout of the structural system was specifically crafted to accommodate the complex Architectural design with highly integrated framing to support all interior ceilings and custom features. Framing solutions were tailored to provide an economical structure without compromising integrity or longevity. Beyond the structural design of the house, a serpentine concrete block retaining wall founded on steel pipe pin piles was designed in close collaboration with a geotechnical engineer to stabilize and extend the lot onto the bluff to provide room for a pool and serene landscaped setting in which to enjoy the views.

This experience was gained as Associate of another firm in direct control of the structural design and construction administration from start to finish.
